รายงานข่าวแจ้งว่า เมื่อเวลาประมาณ 19.30 น.เกิดเหตุพลุระเบิด ระหว่างการจัดงานเทศกาลตรุษจีนที่ศาลเจ้าพ่อหลักเมืองสุพรรณบุรี อ.เมือง จ.สุพรรณบุรี ทำให้มีผู้เสียชีวิต 4 ราย เบื้องต้นยังไม่ทราบชื่อ ส่วนผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บมีมากว่า 40 ราย เจ้าหน้าที่ต้องนำตัวส่งรพ.เจ้าพระยายมราช โดยเพลิงได้ลุกไหม้บ้านเรือนประชาชนเสียหายหลายหลัง แรงระเบิดของพลุยังได้ทำให้กระจกของศาลเจ้าพังแตกกระจายเสียหายจำนวนมาก

ทั้งนี้ เหตุพลุระเบิดดังกล่าวเกิดขึ้นในระหว่างที่นายชุมพล ศิลปอาชา รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรมว.ท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา พร้อมด้วยนายบรรหาร ศิลปาชา ประธานที่ปรึกษาหัวหน้าพรรคชาติไทยพัฒนา และนายสุรพล เศวตเศรณี ผู้ว่าการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ร่วมเป็นประธานเปิดงาน “ตรุษจีนสุพรรณบุรี ปีมังกรทองสวรรค์” ซึ่งสถานที่ดังกล่าวเป็นพื้นที่แออัด มีชุมชนพักอาศัยอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก เป็นเหตุให้ไฟลุกลามอย่างรวดเร็ว เบื้องต้น เจ้าหน้าที่กำลังควบคุมเพลิงไม่ให้ลุกลามไปยังบ้านหลังอื่นๆที่อยู่ในชุมชนข้างวัดพระธาตุ

ส่วนสาเหตุนั้น คาดว่าเกิดจากการแสดงพลุชุดใหญ่ แทนที่จะไประเบิดบนท้องฟ้า แต่เกิดเหตุไม่คาดคิดเมื่อกลายเป็นลูกไฟเพียงเล็กน้อย ระเบิดสนั่นหวั่นไหว จนกลายเป็นเพลิงไหม้ในเวลาต่อมา

While most companies in the US and the UK regard blogging as an important new communication medium, most are not monitoring the online conversation and have not adapted their corporate communication strategy to include social media elements such as an effective Internet marketing strategy.

* Almost 89 percent of U.S. respondents and nearly 83 percent of U.K. respondents believe blogs are an important digital communication
* More than half of all respondents admitted that no one is blogging on their or their clients' behalf (U.S.: 64 percent, U.K.: 64 percent)
* Most respondents confess they or their clients don't have an official blogging policy in place (U.S.: 87 percent, U.K.: 82 percent)
* One third of companies claiming to have a blog say it is written by the company's CEO
* 63 percent have not adapted their communications strategy to include proactive outreach to blogs, message boards, and other forms of digital medium
* Among both countries, respondents consider the ability to share information quickly and broadly as the most important consideration for blogging (U.S.: 84 percent and U.K.: 74 percent)
* 63 percent of U.S. respondents feel lack of credibility as the major down side of blogs; while U.K. respondents prefer other forms of communication to reach audiences (63 percent)

The main appeal with contract hire is that there is a clear monthly payment to be made which is fixed throughout the contract. The deposit is the only initial outlay and can be decided in accordance with the budget, i.e.: the contract can be extended by twelve months to enable the deposit to be lowered. The normal route with contract hire would be decide upon a budget and then think about the options. There are many different types of contract hire, this has to be decided upon early on in the process to establish which vehicle or fleet of vehicles will be purchased.
Questions to be asked when deciding whether to contract hire company vehicles:

1. Does the company wish to own the vehicle at the end of the contract
2. What is the annual mileage likely to be
3. What is the required contract length – could be dependent on staff turnover, whether the company employs contractors or not

5. What will the vehicle be used for

If the company would prefer to return the vehicle to the finance company at the end of the contract they would simply pay an initial deposit to the finance company followed by monthly payments in between and when the vehicle reaches the end of the contract the company simply returns the vehicle and commences with a new contract and a new vehicle.

Mileage is also something to consider especially if the company makes deliveries or has a team of regional reps that make regular long trips in company vehicles. The estimated mileage would need to be adhered to otherwise the finance company would charge a fee per mile over the agreed limit. If the company are likely to go over the agreed limit a broker would be able to negotiate with the finance company to enable an agreement on the payment of extra mileage. The normal limit is between 10 and 12 thousand miles, this enables the finance company to sell on the vehicle at a competitive rate rather than be left with a fleet of vehicles with very high mileage.

Contract length is another consideration. Does the company hire contract workers who may only require vehicles for short periods such as six months? If this is the case a contract can made to match this requirement and would more than likely exclude end of contract ownership. Monthly budget has to be paramount when deciding upon firstly the type of contract and secondly the vehicles to be run through that particular contract.
